Jennifer Lane was elected to City Council in 2018, re-elected in 2020, and is seeking a third term for At-Large, Position 2. Lane serves as Mayor Pro-tem and is on the Finance and Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, Sugar Land Development Corporation (4A), and HGAC Transportation Policy Council - Alternate.

Lane is also a current committee member of the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation Committee and is a member of the Sugar Land Lions Club. In addition, she has served on the Economic Development Committee, Intergovernmental Relations Committee, and is the Current President of the Sugar Land Development Corporation.

As a 21-year resident of Greatwood, Jennifer Lane knows Sugar Land. She has been committed to the Human Resources industry, working with a local medical center, in the arts, manufacturing, software and consulting fields. In addition, she has served as an educator throughout her career.

Throughout her terms, Lane has been committed to representing and working with fellow councilmembers, committee and board members, and community partners. She is familiar with working with large fiscal budgets, prioritizing issues, and is a champion of honoring Sugar Land’s rich history.

Lane has a BA in Business. She is a proud basketball mom, cattlewoman, and enjoys cooking.

Mrs. Lane looks forward to continue representing the city she knows and loves.
